Sambalpur: Various schemes should be listed for Awareness, decided in the DISHA meeting

Sambalpur: The District Development Coordination and Monitoring Committee meeting was held at the District Council conference room. The success, targets, reasons for failure and scale of various schemes in the district were discussed: mgnrega, Deendayal Upadhyay Rural Strategy, Pradhan Mantri Gramya Road Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Abodhi Yojana, Mid Day Meal, Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana, Agriculture Swasyakar, Public Service Centre, National Agricultural Development Plan.

The plans implemented by the various departments of the district including the Agriculture Development Plan, National Health Mission were discussed for the awareness of the people. The MLAs said that the list of various schemes of the government should be posted everywhere from the district headquarters to the village panchayat. It was discussed in the meeting to take steps for setting up towers on priority basis.

It was discussed in the meeting that out of the 1886 Anganwadi centers in the district, 1506 are main and 380 are mini category. Similarly, there are 32340 beneficiaries in the district under Prime Minister’s Ujjwala Yojana, while a total of 39862 (APL, BPL) houses in the district have been supplied with electricity through Saubhagya Yojana under Deendayal Upadharaya Gram Jyoti Yojana.

District Council Chief Development Officer Dilip Bal gave a welcome speech in the meeting chaired by MP Nitesh Gangandeva. Leader of Opposition Jay Narayan Mishra, District Council President Kumudini Naik, Kuchinda MLA Kishore Chandra Naik, Rengali MLA Nauri Naik, District Magistrate Ananya Das, former Kuchinda MLA Ravi Narayan Naik, Additional District Magistrate Azambar Mohanty, Sambalpur Metropolitan Corporation (SMC) Commissioner Pradeep Sahu, all present in the meeting. Block Chairman, Sarpanch and other district level departmental officers were present. Lok Sabha MP Nitesh Gangandeva thanked everyone.
