Sambalpur: Khalasi Donate Blood, bus owner stopped for 15 minutes for this great work
A helpless poor patient at the hospital should not die of blood. Sandeep Toppo, 19, a resident of Sagarpali in Sambalpur, immediately donated blood when he learned of the blood donation camp. Sandeep works as a khalasi at Bharat Bus Kusum (OD 28-9129). He was on his way to Riyamal from Rourkela in a bus when he saw a blood donation camp in front of Jamankira police station. He expressed his desire to donate blood to bus owner Ashok Dani. As a result, the bus was stopped for 15 minutes by the owner. Sandeep went to the police station and donated blood. The bus stopped, but the passengers were not irritated or dissatisfied.
Sumanth Kisan of Banjari village near Badibahal, another freight truck driver on NH 53, also stopped the truck and donated blood. Both voluntary blood donors were felicitated by Kuchinda SDPO Rajkishore Mishra and Jamnagira IIC Premjit Das with certificates.
