Sambalpur: Lalita Bhoi of Goinpura village educating 30 school dropouts children at home
Sambalpur: Education is the basic right of all of us how to develop education at the grass root level, the government is also spending crores of rupees and many of them are left away from education due to various circumstances. Lalita’s initiative, now brings back the child who is dropout from education. Lalita Bhoi of Goinpura village in Maneswar block of Sambalpur district is teaching 30 school dropouts in her home.
The population of Gagoinpura village, 35 km away from Sambalpur city, is more than 500. Most of the families are working class and farmers. 30 children of the village were away from school due to financial condition. Instead of studying, some helped in the farm work and some helped in the housework. Lalita was shocked to see the children skipping classes and doing this. Lalita has studied till class 10. She used to teach her children herself. Her son Kamal Bartaman is studying in +3 in Gangadhar Meher University and her daughter Damayanti is studying in 6th grade in Navoday Vidyalaya. Lalita came forward to teach the child who dropped out.
Children are also going to school regularly. With the help of Social Organization Education, she organized a meeting with the parents in the village. After explaining the importance of education in life to the villagers, no one is making the children work anymore. The children are now going to Lalita’s home for lessons. For the last 8 months, She has been teaching the children at her home.
