Sambalpur: Lawyers’ Day was observed on Thursday by the District Bar Association on Sambalpur.

The function was presided over by District Advocates Association President Sureshwar Mishra, who spoke on behalf of the West Odisha Development Council Chairman and Chief Minister. The event is a tribute to the late members of the Bar Association, tributes were paid to the well-being of the soul. Senior members of the union were honored at the event. Editor Saroj Kumar Sahu read out the annual report. On this occasion, prizes were awarded to the winners of various competitions held earlier. Initially, wreaths were laid at the statues of Chandrasekhar Behera and Madhusudan Das, located in the premises of the Bar Association, and lamps were lit near Maa Samaleswari. Finally, Vice President Basant Kumar Mishra offered his thanks. Adviser Asit Kumar Tripathi joined as the chief guest. District Police Superintendent B. Gangadhar, Additional District Magistrate Umakant Raj. Utkal Gaurab Madhusudan Das’s birthday as a speaker the importance of Lawyers’ Day celebrated in the state.
