Sambalpur: “Lok Mahotsav” Preparation Committee setup, Program organised for Block level folk artists on January 13

Sambalpur: An important meeting of the district administration and organizing committee has been held under the chairmanship of District Collector Ananya Das to organize the “Lok Mahotsav” in grand format. The meeting was attended by the coordinators of all the committees and the head of the department, the nodal officers. The program will be held on the 13th of January with the people of the block level. It was discussed in the meeting that the main event of “Lok Mahotsav” will be organized on 14th.

Similarly, in 1997, the first “Lok Mahotsav” of the state started in Sambalpur. From that day to the present day, the idea was expressed to collect and display the footage and videos of Sambalpuri folk festivals. Similarly, “Lok Mahotsav” and Pullishree Mela will also be organized. On this occasion, a special program will also be organized for the Hockey World Cup. The “Lok Mahotsav” will feature international folk troupes along with national and state-level folk troupes. People called for cooperation and coordination of all committees to organize the festival. The meeting was attended by Chief Nodal Officer Pradeep Sahu, Nodal Officer Prabhas Dansana, Chairman of all committees and Nodal Officers of “Lok Mahotsav”.
