Sambalpur: Maa Samaleswari’s name is slandered on Social Media, Many organizations demanded the immediate arrest of the accused

Sambalpur: As the controversy continues in the Odia film world, some people have been insulting the Sambalpuri language on social media. Not only that. Some people have been accused of using abusive words on social media about the name of East Devi Maa’ Samaleswari of Western Odisha. Vikram Raut’s account has been slandered on social media. In this regard, letters have been sent to various institutions including Hirakhand Sammukhya, Sambalpur SP, District Collector and Uttaranchal Raj Sabha Commissioner (RDC). The person who used obscenities in the name of Maa has been demanded to be arrested immediately.

Demand for Hirakhand State, Sambalpuri should be given as the third language

The petition said that the state government should submit a new proposal to the central government to include the Sambalpuri language in the eighth schedule of the Indian constitution. Similarly, Western Odisha and Hirakud regions have been largely neglected. Public discontent is growing. In view of various aspects, both the central and state governments have been demanded to bring a resolution for the formation of a new Hirakhand state. Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Deogarh, Sambalpur, Bargarh, Boudh, Subarnapur, Balangir, Nuapada, Kalahandi and Angul district should be formed into this new Hirakhand. The petition states that Sambalpuri should be recognized as the second language of Odisha until the formation of a new state. Hirakhand Sammukhya and Sambalpur Language Culture Council along with the workers of various institutions took out a peaceful rally and handed over demand letters to the RDC, District Collector and SP.
