Sambalpur: Microfinance Trap, Couple cheated 20 Lakh rupees

Sambalpur: Loan Fraud cases are coming to light all around. Many women’s organizations have fallen into the trap of microfinance and are struggling. A woman of Kulsar village under Jujumura block has become a victim of fraud from such microfinance loans.

A self-help group was formed by women in this village under Nuabarangamal panchayat and all the women of the group were given loans from a skilled bank in that village. After the loan amount was deposited in the women’s account, The women alleged that the said couple took their money and left the village. They alleged that they were a victim of fraud of about 20 lakh rupees. The women said that even though they approached the police station, the police did not receive any complaints. So, the women went to the district magistrate’s office and filed a claim.
