Sambalpur: ‘Mind Game’ released, victim’s father involved
Sambalpur: The popular Odia and Sambalpuri movie ‘Mind Game’ was released on Friday. The movie Friday was released in both Odiyan and Sambalpuri languages and will soon be released in Telugu and Hindi. While the film took 5 years to make, the first day saw a huge crowd in the theatres. Suspense, drama, and thriller combined with the flawless performance of the actor kept the audience hooked.
The film stars Manoj Mishra from Sambalpur in the lead role, while many prominent actors from Bollywood and Tollywood have acted in it. Along with Bollywood’s Atul Kulkarni, Yashpal Sharma, Anu Choudhury, and Chinmay Mishra, Apsara Queen’s flawless performance has been seen in the film. Dubbed by Atul Kulkarni himself in Odia. The film is directed by Rajesh Tachrivar, a well-known national award-winning director of Telugu cinema. Sridhar Martha, the sponsor of the film, expressed his happiness for the audience’s love on the first day.
It is said that the film was inspired by the Parcel Bomb incident in Patnagarh district of Balangir.
Ravindra Sahu, father of Soumyashekhar Sahu, who died in the parcel bomb, attended the premiere show held at Sambalpur Eylex. Many artists including Sambalpur MP Suresh Pujari, Rengali MLA Nauri Naik, actor Manoj Mishra, and sponsor Sridhar Martha watched the premiere show and cut the cake. Before the premiere, a procession went from the temple to Eylex Cinema Hall after offering prayers to Maa Samaleswari.
