Sambalpur: “Mo Bus” Services to Commence in Sambalpur on March 9
Sambalpur: The city bus services in the Sambalpur Metropolitan Corporation (SMC) area persist. Bus services are only for the name. However, issues of passenger complaints, overcharging, and ticket-related problems have been reported. During these challenges, there’s positive news for Sambalpur commuters.
According to reliable sources, the ‘Mo Bus’ service will launch in Sambalpur on the 9th, with Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik inaugurating it via video conferencing. According to reports, 44 existing city buses in the area will be renamed as ‘Mo Bus,’ while an additional 25 new Mo Buses have already arrived in Sambalpur.
The trial run of ‘Mo Bus’ has begun, covering several routes throughout the city. On Monday, trial runs happened across various routes from Modipada to Ainthapali. Following the route survey, details will be merged into the ‘Mo Bus’ app, which will provide passengers with information about various intersections.
For passenger safety, all buses will be equipped with cameras, and the GPS installation will allow passengers to easily track bus locations using the app. The buses are scheduled to run at regular intervals along their respective routes. The ‘Mo Bus’ app will also allow users to order tickets and passes. ‘Mo Bus’ will now serve tourist spots such as Sambalpur, Burla, Hirakud, Ghanteswari Pith, and Huma Bakra Temple, according to recent announcements.
