Sambalpur: New Rajghat Disorder Situation; Administration should arrange free Mahaprayan Vehicle – BJP
Sambalpur: Sambalpur city is undergoing beautification under Samlei Yojana. In this plan, the witness of history Rajghat has been shifted. But as it was inaugurated in haste, many works are still incomplete. Cremation started after the inauguration of the new project. Sambalpur BJP said that common people are facing difficulties in reaching the new Rajghat on the final journey of Dead Body from different parts of the city.
The BJP has demanded that at least 10 vehicles should be stationed at Rajghat for the benefit of the city dwellers and should be made free of charge. In this regard, a letter of demand has been given to the Additional District Collector Ajambar Mohanty.
The BJP representative said that vans carrying dead bodies or Mahaprayan vehicles are being operated by some organizations in the city. But that is not enough for a big city. Even so, the problem is seen, people are waiting for the Vehicle. Even after hours, the Mahaprayan vehicle did not arrive.
So at least it has been said that people should not bother bringing the dead body to the Raj Ghat during the last journey of life. Additional District Magistrate Shri Mohanty discussed the matter with the District Magistrate and promised that efforts would be made to resolve the problem.
