Sambalpur: Once again Dr. Shankar Ramchandani is in the news, Help to a Cancer Patient

Sambalpur: Seeing a cancer patient crying under a tree in severe hail, Dr. Shankar Ramchandani understood the patient’s plight as a kind human being and left him in the cancer ward in his own bike.

Dr. Ramchandani, an assistant professor at VIMSAR, started the one rupee clinic on February 12 in 2021. He aimed to provide free treatment to the poor and underprivileged after his duty hours. 

While patients pay a hefty amount for treatment at private clinics/hospitals, the One Rupee clinic is drawing the attention of many. The clinic where only one rupee is charged as fee has turned out to be succour for the poor and underprivileged. He also dedicated his personal car for transportation of poor patients.
