Sambalpur: Open challenge to Sambalpur Police, Double Loot in Noon, 2 Robbers in 1 Bike
Sambalpur: The police are sitting in a cabin and in the name of Patrolling they are just burning fuel. On the other hand, looters are coming, robbing people in facilities and fleeing away, even after all this Sambalpur police are failing to track them down. On Thursday, 2 robbers of the same gang were robbed in 2 places at day noon time. Thus, miscreants have openly challenged the unorganized police law.
Sasmita Behera of Dhanupali went for an Aadhaar card updation on Thursday. On her way back from there, around 11:30 p.m., 2 miscreants on a black bike came near Sarlakani overbridge and stole the gold chain from her neck. The gold chain was more than 10 grams and the value was more than 67 thousand, she said. After Sasmita lodged a written complaint at the Dhanupali police station, the police registered a case and started investigating the incident.
Similarly, Ambiranagar’s Pranabandhu Behera was returning home on a scooty with his wife Pankajini Behera from SBI Bank in Bereipali on Thursday around 11:00 p.m. Near Ambiranagar, 2 miscreants on bike came and stole the gold chain from Pankajini’s neck and fled away. Questions about the police?
The people of the city cannot easily accept the looting that took place in two places in one day. The people of the city expressed their concern and raised questions about the performance of the police. While Sambalpur police have the worst record in catching robber gangs, the police have always failed in big cases. Sambalpur Police has not arrested anyone in the incident of looting from petrol pumps under Sadar Police Station and Sasan Police Station. Not only that, some miscreants came and looted the entire ATM from Sambalpur whose evidence was not found by the Sambalpur police. All the scenes were captured in CCTV but till today Sambalpur police is failed to catch the miscreants. The failure of the police to arrest the big robbers is now encouraging the small robbers as well. There is a lot of mobile looting in the city. While the number of robberies has increased tremendously, the people of Sambalpur have not seen such visible action. People are still afraid to go out. It remains to be seen whether the Sambalpur police will take further steps to provide security to the common people.
