Sambalpur: Opposition to legal barriers to Hanuman Jayanti will be met with appropriate action
Akhada is associated with the culture and way of life of Sambalpur. It is our constitutional right to play akhada on the highways. There should be no legal barriers to the Hanuman Jayanti festival. “If the district administration and the police take action, we will respond.” This was stated by Chief Adviser Satyanarayana Panda at a press conference organized by the Hanuman Jayanti Coordinating Committee at the Public Library on Monday. He added that a peace committee meeting is being held every year before the jubilee. 107 are being implemented in the name of the participating members. Attempts are being made to disrupt the festival.
Police are barring for akhada game in front of mosque. Ajan, on the other hand, is not being closed. It has been doing so at the mosque since 4 p.m. As a result, people are not able to sleep well. The elderly, infants, and patients are suffering from high blood pressure. No action has been taken on that.
A conspiracy is being hatched to stop the game. Doing so will result in accountability in and out of court. Coordinator Pradeep Bahidar said the procession had been closed for two years due corona. So preparatory meetings have been held in different zones. Motorcycle rallies will be held on the 12th to raise awareness with the installation of flags. In addition, cultural groups will be included in the main procession this year. Hanuman hymns and forty chants will be recited before the rally. The main procession will leave the Brihil Ram Mandir on the 14th from 6 to 7 p.m.
The procession will first take place at the Zilla school intersection with flag worship and aalti. At this intersection, there will be a grand opening by the fort. With the arrival of Dhankauda, Bhatara, Dhanupali and Putibandha Akhada teams, the main procession will continue. On this day everyone will place a full bowl in front of the house. The press conference was attended by Girish Patel, President, Sudhar Ranjan Bahidar, General Secretary and Shiv Kumar Agrawala, Executive President.
