Sambalpur: Parent’s question to the District Collector; Being a girl, don’t you understand the difficulties of girls?
Sambalpur: Will the District Collector of the district not understand the plight of girls being herself a girl? Sambalpur District Magistrate Ananya Das has been asked such questions by the guardian of the oldest Lady Louise Girls High School in Sambalpur city. Parents and guardians reached the high school today and locked the school in protest against the absence of a permanent headmaster. This school was established in the year 1942 and students from 6th to 10th standard study here. Ujagar Pradhan, who was the head master here, has been transferred to Jujumura block as a teacher.
Earlier, other teachers of the school were promoted and transferred to another school and after the transferred of Ujagar Pradhan, now the post of head master is vacant The students also met the district magistrate demanding a regular permanent headmaster in the high school. But as no action was taken in this regard, today the parents reached the school and locked the school in protest.
