Sambalpur police uncover bike gang theft; 10 bikes seized, 3 arrested
Sambalpur: Sambalpur police on Tuesday uncovered a bike theft gang. The Sambalpur SDP informed about this. According to reports, Burla police arrested three members of the gang and recovered 10 stolen bikes. The arrested accused are Vikas Bastia, 34, of Sundhipada, Manamunda police station, Buddhist district, Pritam Sahu alias Sanku, 20, of Rundimahul, Kantamal police station, Kantamal police station, and Ashish Pradhan, 25, of Telkobeda, Kantamal police station.
According to police, Giridhari Bag of Gumloi village under Katarbaga police station had lodged a complaint with the Burla police station last Saturday alleging that his bike (OD 15G 6748) had been stolen. He arrived in Burla Vimsar for a health check-up last Saturday. His bike was parked near the SBI ATM in the area of Vimsar and went for a health check-up. When he returned, he did not find his bike. After searching ,he lodged a complaint with the Burla police station alleging that his bike had not been found. Burla police have launched an investigation into the incident
