Sambalpur: Pooja Kalet of Hotapal village under Maneshwar block selflessly giving free education lessons to 21 children
Sambalpur: In Hotapal village under Maneshwar block, which is only 25 km away from Sambalpur city, a young woman who has studied 12th standard, Pooja Kalet, has taken the responsibility of teaching 21 children in that village who were far from being educated. Pooja, who had given up schooling after 12th due to the poor financial condition of the house, have started teaching to 21 children in her own home.
With the help of some volunteers, Pooja has arranged books, copy, pens, etc. for these boys and girls who are getting lessons free of charge. Some prominent people extended their hand of cooperation in this direction. Pooja selflessly taught the children without any payment and the children’s minds started to be grow. Now in the morning and in the evening, Pooja is teaching two times. Some of the children are now enrolled in school and are going to regular school, says Pooja.
According to Pooja, many families in the village are below the poverty line. Pooja ‘s dream to make their children learn, grow and stand in their own feet. Today, the children’s family and villagers have praised this innovative effort of education.
