Sambalpur: Poverty Lost, Mansi won, She was a child laborer, and after education, she became an inspiration to others
Sambalpur: Mansi had many dreams in her mind. But Poverty is the obstacle. Her father was a laborer. If you have will, the chance comes by itself and that is it. Mansi won and poverty lost. Mansi, who left school halfway through, has now achieved success on her own and has become an inspiration to others.
The State Commission for Protection of Child Rights has felicitated Mansi on its 13th Foundation Day for her contribution in bringing about changes in child rights and protection. Mansi is the daughter of Nepal Bishi and Damayanti Bishi of Gadloisingh village, Jujumura Block, Sambalpur District. Even though she was living in poverty, the girl did not forget to go to School. She was studying in a government school in the village. After primary school, she entered high school, she had many dreams in her mind, she would go to college after passing 10th standard. She will be able to earn.
She got good marks in the 10th class exam in 2021 as a dream come true. After securing second place, there was a lot of desire to study higher. But the economy in the family put a strain on the education. When there was no money to eat at home, where would she get money to enroll in college, she was forced to work as a 10th-pass child laborer. She helped her father and mother in earning.
Amidst all these struggles, some social workers identified Mansi and showed the light of hope. Block Administration and Audet Action Village went with the anganwadi workers and encouraged her to continue study. Thus, with everyone’s efforts, Mansi has enrolled in the prestigious ITI in the current academic year. Staying in the hostel and doing ITI training. She encourages girls like her who left school because of financial conditions for education.
After seeing Mansi’s effort, the State Child Protection Commission has praised her. Mansi has been felicitated on the occasion of the 13th foundation day of the State Commission for Protection of Child Rights. Mansi said thats he hopes to be self-employed after training.
