Sambalpur: Preparation of new voter list started, application can be done online
Sambalpur: A campaign has been started by the district administration to prepare a new error-free voter list for the year 2023. A rally of college students with two awareness vehicle took out from Tapaswini Training center on Wednesday. Later a meeting was held regarding voter list.
In the meeting, the guests sensitized the college students about the importance of Error – free Voter List.
Additional District Magistrate Ajambar Mohanty was the chief guest, Sadar Upazilapal Prabhas Dansena, Deputy Collector Tridev Pradhan, Sadar Tehsildar Laxman Amat, Assistant District Magistrate Sushant Sahu, Prosecution Officer Shubhankar Mohanty attended the program as chief guest of honour.
The list of all booth voters in the district has been released on Wednesday. It will continue till December 8.
Informing the new voters to register their name in the voter list, facilitating early application submission for voters above 17 years of age and giving 4 eligibility dates per year instead of one eligibility date.
This facility will be available on January 1, April 1, July 1 and October 1.
New voters can also register online.
Voters can register their name in the voter list through Google Play and Voter Helpline app.
If there is any mistake in the voter list, you can apply in the prescribed form.
Form No-6 for adding names to the voter list, Form No-7 for removing names from the list and making complaints, Form No-8 for correction of errors, transfer and photo uploading.
Voters are encouraged to voluntarily link Aadhaar card in voter list.
The commission has said that by doing this, a voter list with zero errors can be prepared.
