Sambalpur: “Project ‘Matru Samruddhi’ a CSR initiative of MCL in association with Zilla Swaasthya Samiti was launched today at UPHC, Ainthapali.

Sambalpur: With the support of MCL from the district administration, the “Matru Samruddhi” scheme has been started for the first time in the Sambalpur Metropolitan Corporation (SMC) area. Under the scheme, pregnant women are will screened on the 9th of every month along with health services are will provided through HighRisk mobile app and a kit is provided to the pregnant women, which contains all the information related to the safety of the pregnant women along with nutritious food items.

According to the health department, maternal mortality, infant mortality and low birth weight can be prevented through this scheme. On this occasion, various food products prepared by self-help groups for the nutrition of pregnant women were exhibited.
