Sambalpur: Prominent poet Dr. Manoj Kumar Panda has been elected as a member of Sahitya Academy Odia Advisory Council

Sambalpur: Prominent poet and chairman of Rengali Surajmal College Dr. Manoj Kumar Panda has been elected as a member of the Sahitya Academy Odia Advisory Council. A total of 10 people from Odisha remain in this council, while Dr. Panda is the only member from Western Odisha is featured in it.

Three collections of Dr. Panda’s poems have been published. Apart from this, many books have been published under his editorship. He has participated in many national and international competitions. Dr. Panda has been a member of the editorial board of ‘Saptarshi’, the quarterly Odia magazine, published by Sambalpur University . Although he created his own identity as a humanist poet, he has also penned in other fields of literature such as essays, fiction and references related to folk literature.

Regarding the appointment of Gangadhar literature researcher and Eloquently known Dr. Panda, there is a joy among the literary lovers of Western Odisha.
