Sambalpur: Ragging Allegations Surface Again at Vimsar, Anti-Ragging Cell Takes Swift Action
Sambalpur: Ragging has been alleged again in Vimsar. Some first-year students of the Diploma in Medical Radiation Technology (DMRT) course have filed an allegation of ragging a second-year student. A concerned second-year student is regularly mentally torturing a first-year student. As the harassment became unbearable, the students complained to the National Anti-Ragging Cell. In this regard, the Vimsar Chairman was directed to take action after the investigation. The Anti-Rangi Cell conducted an emergency meeting at Vimsar to issue orders.
According to reliable sources, the injured student and the second-year student involved in the incident were interrogated. Allegations of ragging in Vimsar are not new. Last year there were several such complaints. Action was also taken against some of the students involved in the rampage.
