22 months commission outstanding, 54 thousand beneficiaries will be affected

Sambalpur: No ration material was distributed in the Sambalpur metropolitan area. As per rules, the ration material should be distributed to the beneficiaries through card from 1st Jan. It is alleged that on the first day of this year, some workers went to the distribution center hoping to get ration and returned disappointed. The dealers have stopped the distribution of ration goods as the commission for 22 months has not been received from the dealers regarding the details of the ration goods. In such a situation, there is a fear that 54 thousand 308 people will be affected in the SMC area. The government is providing ration cards to the poor people. There is a system of paying commissions to dealers for the distribution of ration goods. There are 72 private dealers in the Sambalpur metropolitan area to supply ration to the public through cards. 54 thousand 308 beneficiaries of the SMC region benefit from this government scheme.

However, 72 dealers in the Sambalpur metropolitan area have not received 22 months of commission. Due to this reason, the distribution of ration will be stopped until the commission issue is resolved, said Amit Agarwal, President of the Dealers Association. According to the complaint, during the last coronavirus period, FIM got a commission of 6 months out of 28 months after distributing the scheme. There is also a problem with paying the commission for 22 months of ration. Because of this, there has been intense dissatisfaction among the dealers. The problem has been brought to the attention of District Chief Supply Officer Ram Chandra Tudu. As per rules, ration material is distributed from 1st day of every month. Ration distribution has started in rural areas from today. Similarly, the ration is being sent from the warehouse to the retail point. There are 72 private dealers for the distribution of ration materials in the Sambalpur metropolitan area. During the last Corona period, in the scheme distributed ration for 28 months. Out of 28 months, the dealer got 6 months commission and the problem of paying 22-month communal has been revealed that such a problem has arisen in the metropolitan area.
