Sambalpur: Residents of Cheruapada continue their protest for the fifth day against the eviction without settlement. Residents of Cheruapada came to a rally on Monday and protested in front of the District Collector’s office and sat in protest. When it has been 14 days since the house of the slum dwellers was destroyed, now the flyover has become their only hope, it has become their shelter under the flyover, where they can start eating, read their children’s books and sleep. On a rainy night, the Residents are sleeping in the open with small children. There is a lot of fear. But until the settlement is not resolved, the Residents said that they will raise their objections in front of the District Collector’s office. It is worth noting that Cheruapada water tank under Sambalpur Metropolitan Corporation was demolished by the railway department on July 1 without any settlement.
