However, in the preliminary stage, only the project has been discussed and the cost estimate has not been prepared yet.
It will start as soon as DPR is approved, District Collector Ananya Das informed. Hindalco said that the cost estimate will be prepared in the next few weeks. National Highways Authority PD Nageswar said that after the DPR is given by Hindalco, it will be analyzed and finalized.
A large statue of Birsamunda will be installed in the square. Where a block tower will also be constructed. There will also be tiles inside. The beautification of the square will be carpeted and railings will be installed on both sides. Street lighting will be done and the roads connecting from the street to the city will also be improved. A drain will be constructed on the roadside. It has been said by the district administration that the improvement of Ainthapali Street is one of the main entrances of the city. Thousands of heavy vehicles are passing through this intersection daily. But due to the poor condition of the road, accidents are happening on a daily basis. However, the elevated corridor of the National Highway No. 53 is going to pass through the Ainthapali intersection. Therefore, it has been informed that this beautification work will be done keeping in view the said project. Therefore, during today’s review, the representatives of Hindalco Company, which took responsibility for this beautification project, and the staff of the National Highways Authority were also present.
The much-anticipated Ainthapali Street Elevated Corridor project’s DPR has now reached its final stage, NHAI said. By the end of this month, it is expected that the DPR of the project will be approved, while the tender will be published in December. However, NHAI has not given any information about how much money will be spent on this project and when the construction work will be completed. A senior official said that while the work on one side of the Tangerpali overbridge of the National Highway No. 53 has been completed, the work on the elevated corridor will be started later.
