Sambalpur: Roadblocks over Kamalibazar market , market will start after the administration gives a good place!

Sambalpur: The famous Kamalibazar Hat in Sambalpur is once again the talk of the town. The administration has barred traders from sitting in the market area since Sunday, citing security concerns. There was intense dissatisfaction in the business community. The strike was called off by a group of traders from 8 a.m. Sunday. The situation calmed down after the presence of Sambalpur Metropolitan Corporation (SMC) Enforcement Officer Shubhkar Mohanty, Chief STPO Pradeep Sahu and Town Police Officer Prakash Kumar Karna. Businessmen and traders were asked to have a discussion with administration on wednesday.

Shubhankar Mohanty, Enforcement Officer, SMC: Samalei planning work has begun. So it has been decided to give the market a distance of 100 meters in view of the safety of the people sitting there. They have been asked to sit temporarily until the balibandha. Special arrangements are being made for this hat.

Rashid Khan, businessman: We are protesting against the rise of Kamal Bazaar without saying anything to the traders. After Wednesday’s talks, the administration will give the town a better place. Then we decided that we would all sit down.

Jayaram Bania, former Congress town president: Kamal Bazaar is one such market where one can take an outdoor item if one comes for Rs 5,000. The administration has asked traders coming from the Patneshwari temple to the balibandha to sit on the market.
