Sambalpur: Roadside parking has become a headache for the people of Sambalpur. The police and the transport department have imposed fines at different times but after a few days the same situation again, the service road from Remed to Sindurpank has now become a parking lot. Half of the road is occupied by trucks and other vehicles. Due to this people are in trouble during commuting, and minor accidents are happening every day during commuting. Illegal parking often costs lives.

This problem has brought people from Ainthapali Street to Remed Street. Throughout the year, violators have been parking vehicles in the same area on rainy days, causing many problems. In the area near the city station, there are complaints of people parking the trucks and occupying the entire service road, not even getting space to travel. The problem is compounded by the lack of streetlights in many places at night. Various quarters have demanded strict action against illegal parking as soon as possible.
