Sambalpur: Robbery at Sakhipada; Jewelry, Camera, and 2 Lakh Cash Stolen

Sambalpur: Bharat Bharu from Sakhipada Hanuman Colony faced an unsettling incident during a family visit to the Durg on Thursday. A neighbor informed Bharat the next day that their water pump had been stolen. In response, Bharat requested his brother, Bimal Bharu, to check their home. Upon arrival, Bimal discovered that the house door had been forcibly opened, and the almirah door was broken.

After breaking into the house, the robbers stole silver jewelry, a DSLR camera, and a substantial amount of money totaling Rs 1 lakh 90 thousand. Bharat swiftly returned to Sambalpur after hearing about the incident and filed a written complaint at the Dhanupali police station. The police have registered a case and started an investigation into the break-in.
