Sambalpur: Robbery Attempt Failed; 6 Arrested with Weapons, Plan to Carry Out a Robbery in Mudipada Area
Sambalpur: A robbery attempt was prevented. The gang was caught by police while preparing to commit the robbery. The Town Thana police have detained 6 people in this instance. The accused include Arman Khan (21) from the Dhanupali police station area, MD Amimul Ehesan (20), MD Sheikh Iqbal (18) from Sunapali, MD Shehzad Alam (21), Sohil Ali Khan (22) from near the Gobindtola Shiv Temple, and Stephen Raja (18) from Pensionpada. They have been arrested and prosecuted to the court. Sambalpur Sadar SDPO Tofan Bag provided this information during a press conference yesterday.

Yesterday, a team led by Town Police Station SI Diptimayi Mishra was on patrol. During this time, they spotted a gang planning a robbery near the Lions Club in Kumbharpada. There, 6 youths were planning to commit the robbery while carrying weapons. The police arrested all of them and interrogated them. They admitted that they were planning to carry out a robbery in the PK Park area of Mudipada. The police seized one local gun and live ammunition, 5 knives, 6 mobile phones, and 310 rupees from them.
