Sambalpur: Robbery from Burla Vimsar again, what is the security guard doing?
Police and a private security company (Executive Security Services) have been deployed to protect Burla Vimsar, but they have failed. Every day at the hospital, there were incidents of mobile phone theft, bike theft of patients relative. Police and security personnel are not doing anything. With the appointment of a security guard, questions have been raised about the role of special police funds in hospitals.
According to sources, Reena Nayak, 22, of Hirakud area of Sambalpur district, was admitted to the women’s surgery department of Burla Hospital on November 11. On wednesday night, Reena was asleep when someone stole her mobile phone from inside the ward. Reina questions how the thief broke into the ward if the security guards are on duty in the ward at night. Reena complained to the Medical police station that her mobile phone had been stolen, but police are not doing anything. “You have to keep your mobile phone safe, a lot of mobile phones are being stolen from the hospital every day,” Police said.
Why are the medical authorities not taking any steps towards a permanent solution even though the money and supplies of the patient’s relatives are being stolen every day even though many security guards are deployed at the hospital?
On the other hand, no official was present at the medical police station in Vimsar area after 10 pm. Only one constable and one of the home guards was found to be running the police station.
The Kangaroo court case took place last June 5, at the Medical Fund. On the 28th of that month, a security guard inside the hospital was beaten to death and bloodied.
