Sambalpur: Robbery with police Identification

Sambalpur: Some people came in plain clothes and looted by identifying themselves as police. Yesterday evening, two persons robbed the gold chain of an old woman from Commissioner Colony near the district BJP office. The robbers came to the old woman and first introduced themselves as the police. Later, they asked for the gold chain that was with her by saying that it would be stolen. The old woman also handed over the chain in faith. After they left from there, the old woman came to know that she was the victim of loot and reported to the police station. The police have registered a case and are investigating the incident.
