Sambalpur: Ropeway prices at Hirakud Jawahar Park have rises by Rs 10

Sambalpur: Ropeway prices in Hirakud Jawahar Park have risen sharply. The Sambalpur Metropolitan Corporation has increased the ropeway price by Rs 10. Earlier, the price was Rs 60, so many tourists have to pay Rs 70 to return to Gandhi Minar from Jawahar Park under Hirakud Dam. When the ropeway was reopened after the corona lockdown, it was priced at Rs 50, but a few months later it was priced at Rs 60. However, the price has been raised again for maintenance and other expenses, according to the SMC.

Currently, all 4 Cabins on Ropeway are operational. Each cabin has a seating capacity of 4 people. However, an average of 268 tourists a day have been on the Ropeway for the past five days, according to the SMC.
