Sambalpur: One and a half lakh rupees was robbed from Vikas Bishi near Zilla School Chowk, which is less than 500 meters away from Sambalpur Dhanupali police station on Monday morning. Success has been achieved within 24 hours of the incident. Police have arrested 4 accused in this case. The arrested accused are Muhammad Irfan Ali (19) of Mayabagicha, Syed Nishar alias Battu (22) of Sunapali, Muhammad Yasin (23) of Kumbarpada, and Ashwini Bagarti (19) of Hirakud Colony. 94 thousand rupees, one bike (OD 15T 6155), four mobile phones, one knife, and each DL, Aadhaar card, and ATM card have been seized by the police.
For information, Vikas was bringing eggs from Ulunda and selling them wholesale in Sambalpur. He brought one and a half lakh rupees for eggs from the shopkeeper. On Monday morning at 7.30 am, he was robbed while going to the toilet near the zilla school. After he lodged a written complaint at the Dhanupali police station, the police registered a case. A special team was formed and the investigation was started. The team arrested the accused from the Burla area while they were trying to fled away.
