Sambalpur: Rural Women Entrepreneurs Gathering : More than 500 women entrepreneurs from 10 districts participated over here.
Sambalpur: The second edition of Odisha-50 program organized by ‘Sambad’ is starting from Sambalpur on Sunday 16th. Its first regional meeting will be held at Veer Surendra Sai University of Technology (VISUT) in Burla on Sunday. In this ‘Rural Women Entrepreneurs Gathering-2022’, more than 500 women entrepreneurs from all 90 blocks in 10 districts of West Odisha will participate. These women entrepreneurs selected on the basis of skill and effort from each block have been invited to the gathering. The program will be presided over by Soumyaranjan Patnaik, editor of ‘Sambad’, and will be inaugurated by State Higher Education Minister Engr. Rohit Pujari as the chief guest. Monika Nair Patnaik, Managing Director of ‘Sambad’, will guide women entrepreneurs. Arvind Das, message editor of ‘Sambad’ will announce the purpose of the program. In the second session, a seminar titled ‘Project Selection and Market Arrangement’ will be held. ORMAS Deputy CEO Srimantha Hota, Joint Director of Regional Industrial Center Sambalpur Krishnachandra Naik and Faculty of MBA Department of Gangadhar Meher University Dr. Shrutisudha Mishra will participate as an expert critic.
It will be coordinated by Subrata Naik, sub-editor of ‘Sambad’ Sambalpur edition. The third session will be titled ‘Capital System and Family Cooperation’. Gangadhar Meher University Sociology Department Head and Associate Professor of Anthropology Dr. for Mira, Odisha Livelihood Mission Sambalpur District Project Manager Dr. Pushpashree Nayak, retired officer of State Bank of India and ex-director of Rural Self-Employment Training Institute Saurabh Rai will participate as a critic. It will be coordinated by AGM Ashish Gardnayak of ‘Sambad’ Rourkela edition. After Sambalpur, regional gatherings will also be organized in Cuttack, Baleshwar and Berhampur. Finally, a state-level meeting will be organized in Bhubaneswar. The program is designed to encourage rural women to become self-reliant and strengthen their role in household management and social economy.
