Sambalpur: Samalei Project set to be unveiled on January 27, vibrant city of Sambalpur is abuzz with anticipation
Aradhya Devi Jagatjanani Maa Samaleswari of Western Odisha has countless devotees all over the state, country, and the world. One who has the darshan of Maa Samaleswari gets the grace. Because of the passion and devotion of countless devotees, the Samalei project was started under the direction of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik and it is going to be inaugurated by the Chief Minister on Saturday, January 27. Not only in Sambalpur but across the country, there has been great enthusiasm among the devotees of Maa Samaleswari regarding this project.
Extensive Preparations
Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik will inaugurate the Samlei project on the 27th of the coming day. Keeping this in mind, the Samlei Temple Trust Board has made extensive preparations to make the launch of Samlei projects like the inauguration of the Shrimandir Parikrama project grand and memorable. For this, various deities and saints are being invited. Earlier, under the leadership of Samaleswari Temple Trust Board President Sanjay Babu, the members of the Trust Board and the worshipers of the temple met the Chief Minister and invited with dedication. Later went to Puri temple and Cuttack Chandi temple and gave the invitation. While the yagna mandap has been prepared, the germination has also been completed yesterday. 4 shrines have been built at 4 places while the main shrine has been built in the center of the temple premises. Homa yagna will be held from the 27th to the 31st. Devotees can contribute to it. It is said that only on the 27th, while the Chief Minister is present, security restrictions will be imposed on public viewing. The chief minister is scheduled to pay his respects at the main shrine.
Development of other projects: Emphasis on the economy with tourism development
A high-level meeting was held under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on 17th February 2021 to transform the temple of Goddess Maa Samaleswari. In the meeting, all related aspects of the ‘Samalei Project’ were discussed in detail and after that, the project work continued. In that meeting, the Chief Minister instructed all departmental officers how to complete the work of the Samalei Project in record time through 5-T. From the said meeting till now, the activities have been carried out under the direct supervision of 5-T chairman Mr. V.K Pandian and it has taken the form of a revolutionary project. The overall project has achieved four primary objectives. The temple premises of Maa Samaleswari have undergone a complete transformation. Secondly, special importance is given to the devotees to experience the divine. Emphasis is placed on the tourism economy of Sambalpur and Odisha. Development of other projects around the temple and opportunities for economic development of local residents will be created. With more tourists coming to Sambalpur than before, this can help in the economic growth of the local people.
Mahanadi Aarti
Samaleswari Temple is situated in the heart of Odisha. The Mahandi ghat adjacent to the temple has been converted. Adequate arrangements have been made for Aarti at Mahanadi Ghat. Devotees can experience a special spiritual atmosphere through this Mahanadi Aarti. Also, special paths have been constructed so that the devotees can go from the temple of Maa Samaleswari to the various ghats of the river. There has been a demand for Mahanadi Aarti for a long time among the people of Sambalpur. Arrangements have been made for the Mahanadi Aarti, keeping in mind the hearts of the people of Sambalpur and the devotees.
A rush to finish the project on time
The renovation of Maa Samaleswari’s Divine Temple in Sambalpur was initiated by the Chief Minister and was completed in a record time under the direct supervision of 5T Chairman VK Pandian. Mr. Pandian’s efforts in completing the project are commendable. Not once and a half, he visited Sambalpur many times to review the progress of the project. He has advised the officials involved in the project so that there is no problem with the project. He has always given importance to whatever the project required.
Four entrances and transformations
The temple of Maa Samaleswari has been completely renovated in an area of about 40 acres through the Samlei project. There are four entrances around the temple. All arrangements have been made for the temple office, and restrooms for the worshippers. The entrances are beautifully constructed.
Good Condition for spiritual feeling
For the spiritual experience of Maa Samleswari’s devotees, a circumambulation path of about one kilometer has been constructed. It has all the facilities for the convenience of devotees. In view of the large number of tourists, special vehicle parking has been arranged. Drinking water, toilets, an information center, a shoe stand, a vending zone, etc. have been arranged for the tourists. Great care has been taken to ensure that the tourists do not face any inconvenience.
