Sambalpur: Sambalpur Athletics Club; Providing Employments Ways to Tribal Youth Boys & Young Girls
Sambalpur: Sambalpur Athletic Club. Thanks to the efforts of a handful of dedicated individuals, the light is now shining for the tribal community’s young boys and girls. It continues to work with the great aim of providing proper guidance to the educated tribal youth especially in the rural areas so that they can get employment and progress.
This club, founded in 1916, has so far created a unique example by helping about 40 tribal youths get jobs in the police, army, various sports organizations, and other fields. This organization has not only helped in getting employment for the tribal youths but has also been able to bring glory to the district by participating in various competitions in the field of sports.
The most essential fact is that this organization has gotten no financial backing from either private or government sources thus far. Jhili Barik, a NIS, Diploma in Athletics, and BPD athlete has given the honor to the club and is the first female athletic coach in Jharsuguda and Sambalpur. Preeti Podha, Akash Mirdha, Golapi Kalo, and Dolamani Pradhan also competed in major state and national tournaments, winning medals. The organization’s editor, Sundarmani Barik, stated that the sports academy is working with millions.
