Sambalpur: Sambalpur Police Encounter Incident, Jacob arraigned in Court after recovery

Sambalpur: Sambalpur police’s encounter on Saturday evening against the gang who robbed a liquor shop, the notorious criminal, Koraput Lakshmipur’s Jacob, was injured. He was undergoing treatment at the Burla Hospital due to a police bullet wound on his right leg. After his recovery, Sadar police took Jacob to court on Monday. The police took 11 other people involved in the robbery case to court on Sunday. It is to be noted that late on Friday night, 12 and 13 miscreants robbed 3 lakh 20 thousand rupees from a liquor shop near Jayantpur at gunpoint. Jacob was shot in the leg during a shootout in Kenghati on Saturday evening while a police team was chasing them.
