Sambalpur: Sambalpur Railway Zone Set for Modernization, 4 Key Stations to Undergo Multimodal Upgrade
Sambalpur: There appear to be plans to renovate various railway stations in the Sambalpur railway zone, as well as to inaugurate overbridges and underground poles. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to lay the groundwork for the renovation of 554 railway stations around the country as part of the Amrit Station Scheme today.
The stations that will be upgraded are Sambalpur City, Jharsuguda Road, Titilagarh, and Kesinga stations. The renovations will involve multimodal integration, facilities for the disabled, modern entry points, waiting toilets, lifts, escalators, free Wi-Fi, sanitization, one station-one product, and many advanced information systems.
There will also be the inauguration of 1500 railway overbridges and underground bridges, including 4 stations and 8 overbridges/underground bridges in the Sambalpur railway zone. These infrastructure upgrades aim to improve railway passengers’ safety, convenience, and modern facilities.
