Sambalpur: Samlei Project Inauguration Preparations, Sambalpur Resplendent in Mural Art

Sambalpur: The Samlei project will be inaugurated next month. The work has reached its final stage. It is said to be inaugurated by Chief Minister Naveen Pattnaik. Therefore, the Sambalpur Metropolitan Corporation is busy with the beautification of the city. Major walls and bridges of the city will be decorated with mural paintings. There will be a lighting system in some places. Some work has already started on the Mukta Scheme. Mural art will be done by 20 established artists in the city’s major places. Sambalpur Metropolitan Corporation Commissioner Ved Bhushan informed this. Western Odisha’s art, and culture shine on Sambalpur’s walls and bridges.

Mural painting will be done on different themes like famous people, freedom fighters, and history. Along with this, the mural paintings of Western Odisha’s monasteries, temples, education, and yoga will also be displayed. They prepared various designs and gave them to the SMC officials who had already received the green signal. So SMC informed that this work will be done soon. In the first phase, work will be started by 10 established artists of the state. After that, another 10-12 people will be employed. Similar to the mural paintings displayed in Cuttack, Bhubaneswar, and Rourkela, paintings will be made in Sambalpur. Which explores the art and culture of Sambalpur and Western Odisha. This beautification work has been taken up for the inauguration of the Samlei project to be held next month. This work has been undertaken to make the city more attractive. Some commemorative paintings are also being done in the pre-release plan. SMC Commissioner Ved Bhushan informed that this painting has been done on the walls of city schools, medical centers and other government offices.
