Sambalpur: Samlei Scheme Project will be completed in January, Deepaghara has not been built according to Vastu Shastra

Samirpur: It was targeted to complete the much-awaited Samlei Project work by December this year. There are only a few days left in December. However, much work remains. In such a situation, the hope of the Samlei Project being completed this year is fading, however, there is dissatisfaction among the worshipers and devotees as the Deepaghara is not being built according to Vastu Shastra.

Samaleshwari Temple Trust Board President Sanjay Babu informed that 600 to 700 people were engaged in the construction of the temple every day and the state government is trying to complete the temple as soon as possible. Therefore, the number of workers has been increased in the last few days. Work is going on day and night, 1500 people are working in 3 shifts. Mr. Babu said that most of the work has been completed and now only the final phase of work is going on. It is expected that this project will be completed by the end of next January. It is worth mentioning that after the state government developed Puri Shree Jagannath Temple and Lingaraj Temple in Bhubaneswar, the Samlei Project was announced.

This development work has been planned in 5 programs of the state government. The Chief Minister announced in connection with the provision of Rs 200 crore. In the next period, a further budget of Rs. 200 crore was spent. Out of this, only 293 crore rupees are spent on construction work excluding rehabilitation, etc. This project includes the development of 12 acres of land in the temple premises and 108 acres of surrounding landreliable sources. It also includes 4 historic entrances around Bhog Mandap, Lines for Devotees, a Rest Room for Pujaris, and Mahanadi Arati with a riverfront. It is said that the conservation work of the historic Gopalji Math is also involved. Walkways to Temple to Mahanadi Ghat, various facilities for the convenience of tourists, a food park, a historical garden, a leisure theater, an evening zone, etc. are being arranged.
