Sambalpur: In an innovative initiative to provide passengers with an authentic taste of local cuisine, the Sambalpur Railway Department has set up a one-of-a-kind buggy restaurant at Khetrajpur Railway Station. This unusual restaurant, housed in a rebuilt old railway coach, seeks to provide travelers with a great eating experience of authentic Sambalpur dishes.
Buggy Restaurant, which will be open 24 hours, promises to be a haven for foodies and exhausted tourists. Adorned with fascinating Sambalpuri artifacts and heritage designs, the ambiance pays tribute to the region’s rich cultural heritage. The railway authorities have taken special care to create an immersive atmosphere that celebrates local folk art and traditions.
A railway official working on the project stated, “We want to give our passengers, especially those from outside the region, the opportunity to savor the authentic flavors of Sambalpur.” From traditional breakfast items to hearty meals, this buggy restaurant will provide a wide range of local foods.
The Sambalpur Railway Department allocated food preparation and management to a reputable local organization. Said that the meal supplied will not only taste nice but will also meet the highest standards of quality.
Debashis Pandey, a regular traveler from other states, expressed his satisfaction with this project, saying, “During the busy season in Sambalpur, we struggle to find suitable food using fruits and biscuits.” This buggy restaurant will be a blessing, allowing us to enjoy local dishes while visiting the city.”
The Buggy restaurant is nearing completion, and the railway officials have indicated that it will open in the coming days, exceeding the expectations of foodies and travelers.
