Sambalpur: SDA Fraud Case, Question arises – How is SDA planning the work that came under SMC jurisdiction?
Sambalpur: From September 2019, responsibility for the planning of houses to be built in the metropolitan area was transferred to the Sambalpur Metropolitan Corporation. In all 41 wards of the city, it was decided to approve the SMC house plan to the person making the house. But instead of doing this, the Sambalpur Development Authority (SDA) itself approved the plan. So, the question arises here, How they were planning the place that came under SMC jurisdiction? Who and why kept people in the dark despite money coming in to make people aware of this issue?
- SMC is planning the metropolitan area from September 2019
- SDA employees have been making people angry for so long
- Investigation underway, nothing to say: SDA panning member
All the accused in Town Police, Khetrajpur, Dhanupali, and Ainthapali police stations have built their houses in the metropolitan area. So they have to approve the house plan from the Planning Section of the Metropolitan Corporation. Since they were building houses in the metropolitan area, they had to take permission from the metropolis. The remaining areas, excluding the metropolis, will take permission from the SDA. Why the victim of the fraud applied to the SDA also surprised everyone. A victim of fraud said, “Where we made the plan, he took the name of the Bikash Jagat.” Visited him and asked him to approve the house plan. So after going to him, he showed me the way of SDA. As a result, we were victims of fraud,” he said. A racket was operating in this scam. If not, how did the architect who made the Plan know the Bikash?
Not only this, application for house plan approval is being done online across the state. But why not in Sambalpur? Because there is no risk of fraud if done online. Nor can money be collected from the people. For this, people were forced to apply offline. They used to frighten people take money from them and give fake plans. An SDA planning member Bandita Mohapatra refused to comment. The incident is under investigation. Therefore, nothing should be said about it, she said.
