Sambalpur: Second evening of “Sambalpur Mahotsav” organized at Ainthapali Birsa Maidan, audience danced to the songs of Ruku Suna
Sambalpur: Today was the second evening of the “Sambalpur Mahotsav” organized at the Bhagavat Prasad Nanda Mancha at Ainthapali Birsa Maidan. On the second evening, the audience jumped and danced to the tune of ruku suna. This evening’s program started with folk songs. Minu Haripal’s Samlei Bhajan ‘Pah Pah Hela Mago Pahad Vangi Be’, Padmini Panigrahi’s ‘Tui Samlai Ma Birjai’, Rajkumar Jal’s ‘Kali Sujhiba Biha Lagan’, Shriya Maharana ‘Jhanke Maila Cha Lo Sajni’, Priyadashini Nath, ‘Ranga Faguna’. The audience danced to Suna’s song ‘Jarire Jhara Radha Margo Mor’ and Mallay Behera ‘Mahkuchhe Mali Malati’ and Gunjan Nanda performed Lachkamani Pur Mahos song.
Under the popular singer Joda Beni Dungar, Rasarkeli and other artists from society performed dances. Sambalpuri fashion show ‘Golak Bihari Mishra’ captivated the audience. Savananda Panda, Durga Das, Surjanan Mohapatra were the major entertainers. Vocalist Ruku Suna and cultural organizer Prashant Meher were felicitated on this occasion. Similarly, in the digital photography competition held today, Diksha Subudhi won first place, Sushant Mahakur second place and Basant Mallu third place and Chandan Mahapatra, Shwetpanda Sahu and Sabbara Geet inaugurated today’s second evening,
Gangadhar Meher University Chancellor N. Nagaraju. Professor Aditya Prasad Padhi, Professor Shankar Prasad Pati, senior journalist Hemant Mahapatra, vocalist Padmini Panigarahi,Padmashri Jitendra Haripal were among the guests. Organizer Sambalpur Itro’s Karma dance along with cultural councils from different places made editor Sapan dance. The artists of Eklabya Dance Group of Jamshedpur, who performed dance songs based on the story of Mahanadi and Gatha, enthralled the audience and received the prize of the judges from Hirakhand Institute of Hirakud. Dolanath Nayak inaugurated the poetry reading festival held this morning. Devotee Prasad Nanda and Manas Kumar Agi were present along with host Jabananda Panda in the program. Poets from various parts of West Odisha participated in the poetry reading festival held under the coordination of Tusar Ranjan Barik, Mamata Nath and Ananya Behera and with the support of Lambodar Meher.
