Sambalpur: Rishi Kumar Poddar of khetrajpur lost 15 lakh in an exciting style by searching for a business on Google
Sambalpur: A businessman has become a victim of fraud after searching Google search to do business. A cyber criminal has cheated him of Rs 15 lakhs. The businessman was Rishi Kumar Poddar of khetrajpur, Sambalpur. Rishi Googled what business opportunities were there. So he opened the ‘Diamond Group.in website’ and saw the various products there. He contacted the customer support number given on the website because of his preference. Unknowingly, he fell into the clutches of cyber fraud. According to the business agreement between the cyber crook and Rishi, if he pays 15 lakh rupees, they can bring and sell the company’s products.
According to the agreement, Rishi paid 4 lakhs through NEFT on 25 May 2021, 3 lakhs in June, 4 lakhs in July, and 4 lakhs in August for a total of 15 lakhs. However, after receiving the money from the company, he said that the product would arrive later. Rishi’s phone was not picked up after that. Rishi lodged a written complaint with the Sambalpur Cyber Police on Tuesday after learning that he was a victim of fraud. The police have registered a case and started investigating the incident.
