Sambalpur: Sex Racket Adapts New Tactics; Sexual Activity in Moving Auto Raises Concerns

Sambalpur: A recent video came out, showing a disturbing trend in the tactics used by sex racketeers in the city. The footage showed a moving auto traveling from Lakshmi Talkies to Mudipada, with two people sitting in the front and illicit activities happening in the back seat. The video, now viral, sheds light on the open sexual activity taking place inside autos during the dark hours.

The clip circulated widely in the city and prompted discussions about the challenges faced by law enforcement. The sex racket operators have reportedly turned to autos and cars as an alternative to expensive hotels, charging between 500 to 1500 rupees for a session in autos and 2000 to 3000 rupees for cars. Brokers have also resorted to phone calls to connect with potential customers during the night.

In response to the video, the police have strengthened outposts and patrols in strategic locations throughout the city. However, when such events continue, concerns have been raised about the effectiveness of patrolling. Concerned residents have urged the police to address rising crime rates and take immediate measures to prevent such acts. Sambalpur Sadar SDPO Tofan Bagh guaranteed that the identified vehicle would be apprehended soon, with further investigations underway to expose the individuals responsible for these acts.
