Sambalpur: Shame on Police Uniform, Police Turned Dacoity, 5 went to jail with 2 policemen

Sambalpur: There was an allegation of robbery from Sahabuddin Khan’s pan masala shop in Panchganchia. Ainthapali police first filed a case under IPC Section-394 (Loot) and started investigating the incident. After it was found that five people were involved, the case was changed to IPC Section-395 (robbery). On Thursday, the police arrested 5 people in this robbery case. The arrested accused are Gautam Kalu 24, Satya Pashayat (30), Vijay Parua 24, Constable Sachindra Pruseth (47), and OAPF Murali Behera (39). After it was found that 2 police personnel were involved among the 5 arrested accused, chaos was played. The accused were arraigned on Friday. All have been sent to jail as they have been denied bail. Sadar SDPO Pradeep Sahu said that departmental action will be taken soon against the 2 police personnel.

Appointed at Bareipali, Duty at Ainthapali

On Wednesday afternoon, some youths went to Sahabuddin Khan’s pan masala shop in Panchganchia. 3 youths got into a fight saying that they were selling robbed goods, and then they called 2 police officers from Bareipali. Sachinder and Murali, two police officers working at Bareipali police station, came to the shop and abused Sahabuddin. When he protested, they vandalized and threw things, then they forcibly took away Rs 4500 and a mobile phone. Threatening to kill him. After Sahabuddin filed a written complaint at Ainthapali police station, the police first registered a case under IPC-394 and started investigating the incident. In this case, the police arrested 5 people and changed the case from robbery to dacoit.

Reluctance to provide photos
