Sambalpur: Sharadiya Dusshera Pooja at Maa Samleswari Temple, Dhabalmukhi Besha on 25th, Navaratra start from 26th

Sambalpur: From next Saturday 17th, Sharadiya Sodasa Upachar Pooja will be started in honor of Goddess Samaleswari, the presiding deity of Sambalpur. On the same day Moolasthami, the Sodasa puja starts with pua jutia Osha, the Sodasa lamp will be lit. On the occasion of Mahalaya on 25th Sunday, Mother Samaleswari will appear to the devotees in a Dhabalmukhi face . From Monday 26th, Navaratra Puja and lighting of Akhand Deep will begin at Mother Samaleswari’s temple will begin. October 1st Saturday will be the sasti and Pithe Mahasapthami Puja. On that day, the lighting of lamps for three nights will be started in Mother’s temple. On the 2nd Sunday, Sathami Puja, Peethe Mahastami, Sahap Puja, Mother’s sword-wielding journey, round-the-city parikrama, bhai jutia Usa will be raised. On Monday, Pithe Mahanavami Puja, and on Tuesday 4th, Pithe Dushara, Vijayadashmi, Navaratra Deep Visarjan and Ranjit celebrations will be held. On Sunday 9th Kumar Purnima, Mother Sameleswari will appear as Rajrajeswari. A new light will be installed in the temple of Mother Samleshwari.
