Sambalpur: Situation of DHH is on the hand of God, Doctor spends only 2 hours a day in the Medical

Sambalpur: District Headquarter Hospital’s situation has become untenable. The doctors are not coming to the hospital. Sitting in the clinic for hours n hours. They are only put attendence. Many doctors are now working for the private sector with government money. A doctor in the department spends only 2 hours a day in the medical center. The rest of the time they sits in a private clinic. If they have been in the medical center for a little too long, they are fuming in anger, feared by everyone from staff to patients. There have been many complaints about this. People said that the pocket of the doctors does not get filled if they are not sitting in their private clinic.

Day by day, Doctors has been accused of cheating patients. Neither they are doing duty properly, nor they are coming to the hospital. So, very serious patients are sent to Burla Vimsar. The matter did not end there. They did not give the cabin to anyone in case the patient had to leave when the cabin was alerted. So the patients can go to the private clinic ? So no cabin was given to anyone. Everyone knew what was going on in the surgery ward, but the officers and staff did not say anything. They are just whispering.

This is not limited to the surgical ward. A senior officer is in charge of DHH, but he always looks “PK”. After a round at DHH his job is done. Who or what will say? The relative of the patient said that no one had the courage to complaint because he was a senior doctor. So, whether the patient is facing issues or goes to a private hospital, DHH Doctors does not care. District Chief Medical Officer Dr. Purna Chandra Sahu said that action will be taken against doctors who do not come to the medical center and go elsewhere to do their duty. This Doctors will be identified soon. Dr. Sahu said that it will be known whether they are on duty or not.
