Sambalpur: SP Visited Various Areas, Requested to Vote Peacefully
Sambalpur: The Election Commission has made all preparations to welcome voters to the biggest festival of democracy. Polling for the third phase of Lok Sabha and Assembly elections in Odisha will be held on Saturday. The Election Commission has almost completed all preparations to conduct free, fair, peaceful, inclusive, and fraud-free elections. For this, the police department plays an important role.
Sambalpur SP Mukesh Bhamu recognized this and visited various slum areas of Sambalpur on Thursday to check the situation. Mr. Bhamu requested the villagers of Motijharan, Sunapali, Zilla School, Dalaipada, and surrounding areas to cast their votes peacefully.
12 companies of CRPF jawans have been deployed in the district, with a focus on election security. Aside from the Strongroom, the Chief Electoral Officer has ordered the deployment of these forces at various sensitive polling stations.
80 officers (IIC, SI) and other police personnel, along with 4 additional SPs, will be deployed at various locations. On the other hand, according to the forecast of the Meteorological Department, a higher number of voters are expected to cast their votes on May 25 as the threat of summer heat is low.
However, there will be one ambulance at each polling station, and facilities like ORS will be available for emergency treatment. Mobile Health Vehicles will visit each booth at regular intervals for emergency healthcare.
