Sambalpur: Strange policy of Sambalpur Cyber Police, did not filed case of 6 thousand rupees cyber fraud
Sambalpur: Cyber fraud has become a daily occurrence in Sambalpur city. On one hand, people are losing lakhs of rupees by falling into the net of cyber fraud. On the other hand, Sambalpur police is completely failing to catch the cyber cheater, but now the police have started a new campaign to hide their weakness. Complaints are difficult to file, insufficient police staffs that’s why the police don’t want to file the case now. We do not say this, said Sanjay Sahani of Talbhatapada.
After being a victim of cyber fraud of 6 thousand rupees, he went to the police station, but instead of filing the complaint, the cyber police said “People don’t get lakhs of rupees, do you think you will get 6 thousand rupees”. He was returned without proceeding about which the victim of the fraud has expressed concern.
According to information, Sanjay decorates for birthdays, weddings and other parties. Less than 2 days ago, he received a call from an unknown number saying that it was his child’s birthday and asking for decorations. On asking how much money would be required for the decoration, Sanjay told him 9 thousand rupees and asked him to pay a few rupees in advance. Then the fraudster asked him for the account number. Sanjay said that if there is no money in the account, there will be no transfer. Then he sent a payment request and asked to accept it. 6 thousand rupees were deducted from his account after he accepted the request. He went to Sambalpur Cyber Police Station to file a written complaint about this and was told by police that the money was so little. So he was returned back without complaint.
