A person who went to the office of the Sub-Collector Office to get a Marriage Procession permission has made such a complaint today.

“I went to the Sub-District Collector’s office today,” said the man who went to the office to get a permit for Marriage Procession. After applying there, a clerk asked for 200 rupees. Despite his refusal, he asked for 200 rupees. But the clerk did not give any receipt in this regard. However, this is not the case, for any work that requires permission under the Sambalpur subdivision, some money goes into the clerk’s pocket. Such complaints are regularly made.

Sambalpur Sub-Collector Dr. Pushpanjali Panda said, no money is taken for granting permission in the office of the sub-collector. A receipt is issued for any money due. 2 hundred rupees are given to the Red Cross for the Procession permit. A receipt is also given. It is not mandatory. If someone has taken money without a receipt, action will be taken against it, said Dr. Panda said.
